We are an organization for writers, readers, and fans of crime fiction and mystery , as well as librarians, booksellers and publishing professionals. Our chapter is a proud member of Sisters in Crime, an international organization that promotes the ongoing advancement, recognition and professional development of women crime writers.
The Sisters in Crime Atlanta welcomes and serves members throughout Georgia and beyond! Our members include bestselling, award-winning authors as well as emerging writers, readers and fans of mysteries and crime stories, and other genres, as well as publishing professionals. We are an inclusive organization – whatever your background, gender, level of experience, or genre, you are welcome to join us.
Monthly Meetings
We meet monthly to hone our skills, learn about publishing, promote our work, and network with other writers and readers. Our guest speakers include writing and publishing professionals, law enforcement, forensics professional, private investigators and various other subject matter experts. In the past, we welcomed forensic psychiatrist, cadaver dog handler, defense attorney, female private detective, and forensic DNA expert as well as many best-selling authors.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Saturday at the Smyrna Public Library. You are welcome to attend two (2) free meetings before joining our chapter.
